Some dogs make you smile because of what they achieve. Fable makes you smile because you never quite know what she's going to do next.

Fable (aka Fast Fable or Fabs) is one of Dusk's daughters from her first litter, sired by the distinguished JB of Hubertus Hungarian Vizslas. She is equal parts soft-hearted cuddle bug and unstoppable athlete. She is just as happy gently suckling her favourite stuffed toy or proudly carrying a blanket around the house as she is throwing herself into her next adventure with complete enthusiasm. Her affectionate nature, wonderfully expressive face and boundless zest for life make it impossible not to smile whenever she's around.

From the beginning, Fable stood out for her beautiful balance, striking head, feminine expression and effortless movement. She possesses the strength, soundness and athleticism we hoped this breeding would produce, while retaining the elegance and classic outline that define the Hungarian Vizsla. She quickly made her mark in the conformation ring, earning her Australian Grand Champion title before two years of age, collecting multiple Class in Show awards along the way and establishing herself as a consistent Group-winning exhibit before an unexpected shoulder injury brought her show career to an earlier close than we had hoped.

While Fast Fable loves SprintDog, Lure Pursuit is where her heart truly lies. To anyone who knows her only as the soft-hearted girl who carries blankets around the house, she is perhaps the world's most unlikely lure courser. Yet the moment the lure begins to move, an entirely different side of Fable emerges. Unlike SprintDog, which celebrates pure straight-line speed, Lure Pursuit demands acceleration, balance, determination and the ability to read the lure through every turn. It is the ultimate test of the athleticism, instinct and versatility that have defined the Hungarian Vizsla for generations. Fable has embraced the sport with extraordinary enthusiasm, becoming only the second Hungarian Vizsla to earn a title in the lure coursing sport and the first ever to achieve titles throughout the Lure Pursuit stream, including becoming the breed's first Lure Pursuit Advanced titleholder. She has shown that the Hungarian Vizsla is every bit as capable in the lure field as it is in the show ring and watching her discover the sport she was born to love has been one of the greatest joys of our journey.

Despite everything she has achieved, Fable remains the same wonderfully affectionate girl she has always been. Over the past two years she has blossomed into a confident young girl, growing not only in experience but in belief in herself. She approaches every new challenge with the same wholehearted enthusiasm that has always defined her, yet carries herself today with a quiet confidence that has been a joy to watch develop. Whether she's curled up beside us with a treasured toy or eagerly waiting for her next opportunity to run, Fable has a remarkable way of making every ordinary day feel just a little more fun.

Today, Fable represents the next chapter of the Batorok story. As Armani's granddaughter and Dusk's daughter, she carries forward a family we know and love while adding qualities that are unmistakably her own. Watching her grow into the confident, accomplished dog she has become has been one of the greatest rewards of our journey. Somehow, though, we have a feeling her story is only just beginning. After all, dogs don't earn a name like Wild Stories To Tell without leaving a few more chapters waiting to be written.
